"If we are serious about spirituality, we must become open, available and responsive to the spiritual. You cannot do that if you are contracted within the ego-processes; neither can you do it if you are 'evolving in consciousness,' because evolving is just another word for seeking, for journeying, for never arriving. It gives you the ultimate excuse."
- Richard Harvey
Sacred Attention Therapy is a new paradigm of psychological and spiritual growth and development, based on Richard Harvey’s "The Three Stages of Human Awakening," the principles and practices in his present body of work and the books which are now in preparation or scheduled for publication beginning with Your Essential Self (published winter 2013 by Llewellyn Worldwide). This therapy and training incorporates your personal exploration alongside your aspirations to heal and work with others from an innovative, new, radical approach, methodology and philosophy.
Richard has created a spiritual approach that takes into account the ego-based individual and the desire of the individual to “progress” spiritually. He has created a psychological approach that recognizes the fundamental, true, spiritual nature of humanity and the intense longing for the truth and for the real divine state.
His approach is far more profound than existing populist spiritual approaches, which tend to be aimed at mass appeal and kept to a low level of personal and spiritual, if any, development to aggrandize the bound individual and corrupt the truth with half-baked or blatantly incorrect assumptions about life, the nature of human beings and the divine source.
Sacred attention therapy is for people who want to practice and explore a way that takes their intrinsic Self nature seriously.
If you are interested in immersing yourself in Sacred Attention Therapy, your next step is to familiarize yourself with Richard’s present body of work. Step two is to send an account of your background in psycho-spiritual practices as both a client / pupil / follower and practitioner / therapist / healer (if relevant) along with your motivation to participate in the Sacred Attention Therapy practice. You can write to Richard at [email protected].

What people are saying about Sacred Attention Therapy
Dearest Richard, I want to thank you tremendously. The work I have done with you and your influence and wisdom as a teacher, mentor, therapist, and presence in my life have been hugely valuable – it's hard to even find the right words. I think of you very often, at least weekly and sometimes daily, as I navigate life and ask myself many questions. Either something you have said to me in the past comes back up, or I will ask myself, "What would Richard say about this right now?" Reflecting on the several months of doing therapy with you last year, I realize what fortune – what blessing – I received to have had that. In many ways, I count it as one of my greatest blessings. To me, inner work (to wake up and wake up again) is the point of being alive. Sending love to you, from the heart.~ Julia Millar
